Two weeks had passed since the grand wedding. Life inside the palace had slowly fallen into rhythm. Every corridor whispered about the new queen, Ruhi-some admired her innocence, while others smirked at her little habits that didn't suit the grandeur of royalty.
But Ruhi didn't care. She carried her world in the simplest things: her books, her laughter, her hidden stash of chocolates and snacks tucked safely in her bedside drawer.
That evening, after a long day of ceremonies and royal obligations, she slipped into her room, eager to finally indulge in her sweet escape. She pulled the drawer open with a secret smile-
And froze.
Empty. Completely empty.
Her eyes widened, her heart skipping a beat. "No... this can't be." She bent down, checked again, shuffled through the empty drawer, even pulled it out to look beneath. But the truth was clear. Her treasure was gone.
Anger rushed to her cheeks. She didn't even need to guess who was behind this.
"Vedant ji..." she muttered under her breath, fire in her eyes.
Storming down the polished corridors of the palace, her lehenga brushing against the marble floors, she pushed open the door to his study.
Vedant sat at his desk, lost in papers and scrolls. The soft glow of the lamps highlighted his sharp jawline, his royal posture. He looked up slowly when he heard her footsteps.
"Rani-sa," he said calmly, as if nothing was wrong. "What brings you here so late?"
Ruhi folded her arms, glaring. "Where are my chocolates?"
He raised a brow, feigning ignorance. "Chocolates?"
"Yes!" she snapped, marching closer. "The ones I kept in my drawer. They're missing. And don't pretend you don't know. Tell me-where are they?"
Vedant leaned back in his chair, smirk tugging at his lips. "I threw them away."
The words hit her like a slap. "You what?!"
"I threw them away," he repeated casually, standing and walking towards her with measured steps. "They were unhealthy. A queen doesn't survive on sugar and snacks. You need strength, Ruhi, not sweets."
Her jaw dropped. "So my happiness means nothing? My choices don't matter?"
His voice dropped lower, firm yet teasing. "Your choice is me, Ruhi. Only me."
Her heart stumbled at the intensity in his eyes, but she held her ground. She shook her head, stepping back. "No, Vedant ji. Not this time. You don't get to control everything. You've hurt me."
He tilted his head, his smirk never leaving. "You'll forgive me soon. You always do."
"Not tonight," she said coldly, turning away. "I won't talk to you. Not until you understand."
And for the first time, Ruhi left Vedant standing in silence, the mighty, cold, strict king of Rajasthan defeated not by enemies, but by the fiery anger of his queen.
That night, when he returned to their chamber at 2 a.m. after work, she was awake, sitting on the bed with her arms crossed.
"Rani-sa," he began gently.
Before he could take a step closer, a pillow flew at his chest.
"Don't talk to me. Don't even think of sleeping here tonight," Ruhi snapped.
Vedant stared at her, stunned. No on-absolutely no one-had ever dared deny him entry to his own chamber. Yet here she was, his queen, glaring at him with a stubborn fire in her eyes.
And she meant it..
But ruh..."DON'T DARE YOU TALK TO ME! GET OUT OF MY ROOM!" Seriously ????? His queen denied him to sleep in there chamber???
"Now what can I do with my queen, huh" He thought..and...left the room making a pity face...
"Oh god..where i should sleep now? Guest room?? Not at all! I can't sleep alone..yeah..avni! Avni's room...
Wa
