The morning went by in pin-drop silence.

Ved followed Ruhi everywhere like her shadow, hoping she would at least look at him once.

But Ruhi was in no mood to forgive.

The most feared man in the continent,the richest CEO and the great king of Rajasthan was being ignored by his queen??? Intresting😼😼

She walked past him again in the hallway, ignoring him completely.

Ved sighed dramatically, holding his chest. "Bas, Rani-sa! Ignore me one more time and I'll die right here only!"

Ruhi stopped for a second, fighting her smile. But she quickly turned away. "Accha toh jaaiye... I'll send flowers to your funeral," she said coldly and left.

Ved's jaw dropped. Yeh toh full Shani Dev version ban gayi hai! he thought helplessly.

In the Kitchen:-

Ved entered the kitchen, where Ruhi was preparing tea.

"Rani-sa, I made aaloo paratha's today," he said proudly, showing a plate of oddly-shaped parathas that he had made a few hours ago to impress her.

Ruhi looked unimpressed. "Oh really? Toh ye kya bana diya hai aapne? Paratha ya India ka map?"

"Aaj ki taza khabar,Rajasthan ke raja sahab hue apni Rani-sa se roast" Darsh teased.

The entire staff burst into laughter. Ved scratched his head, embarrassed. "At least I tried!"

Ruhi rolled her eyes. "You also tried to throw away my chocolates, remember?" she said with a smirk.

Ved immediately fell silent.

Oof... one wrong move, and she brings that up again, he thought.

He placed the plate on the counter gently. "Rani-sa, I swear, I'll buy you a hundred chocolates. Imported ones. From Switzerland!"

Ruhi turned to him, eyes sharp. "I don't want Switzerland's chocolates. I wanted the ones you threw."

That line hit him straight in the heart.

At the Dining Table during lunch:-

The whole family gathered again. Darsh,Arnav,Abhishek,Avni and elders were already giggling, whispering something.

Ved sat quietly, waiting for Ruhi to sit beside him. She didn't. Instead, she sat opposite him this time.

"Rani-sa..." Ved whispered, leaning forward, "You're supposed to sit beside me..."

Ruhi sipped her juice calmly. "And you were supposed to not throw my chocolates. Balance, Hukum-sa."

The table roared with laughter. Even Indu tried to hide her smile.

Ved groaned and slumped in his seat. "Rani-sa, you're enjoying this too much."

Ruhi gave a tiny smile. "Good. You finally noticed."

"Kuch to Krna padega" he thought.

Later That Evening:-

Ved stood outside the balcony, holding a bouquet of her favorite red roses. He rehearsed his lines like a student before an exam.

"Ruhi... I mean, Rani-sa... I'm sorry, from the bottom of my heart. I'll never throw your chocolates again. I'll even build a fridge just for them-no one else can touch them..."

He turned--and froze.

Ruhi was already standing there, arms crossed, listening.

"You're rehearsing to impress me, huh?" she asked, raising a brow.

Ved chuckled nervously. "At least you're talking to me now."

Ruhi walked closer, her pallu swaying with the evening breeze. "I was never planning to forgive you easily, Hukum-sa," she said softly, her tone calmer now. "Because sometimes, you take me for granted."

Ved's expression softened. He took a step closer. "I don't. I swear, I don't. I just... didn't realize how much those chocolates meant to you."

She looked into his eyes. "They weren't just chocolates. They were memories. You threw them without thinking. That's why you're being punished."

Ved lowered his eyes. "Then punish me for life, Rani-sa. I'll gladly take it."

Ruhi blinked, her heart melting a little -- but she didn't show it. "We'll see," she said, walking away.

Ved smiled faintly, watching her go. "She can pretend to be angry all she wants," he murmured, "but her eyes already forgave me."

Author's POV

That night, Ved stayed awake and made chocolates for her and placed a small box beside Ruhi's bedside table - a handmade chocolate box, tied with a red ribbon, with a note inside:

✨"For my Rani-sa - because I finally realized, nothing is sweeter than you." 💌

Ruhi found it the next morning.

And though she didn't say a word, the small smile that played on her lips said it all.
